Night of 17 August:
16 Diamond-back Moth, 1 Latticed Heath, 4 Dark Sword-grass, 2 Tree-lichen Beauty, 1 Dewick's Plusia (third Bawdsey record) and 182 Silver Y. The last few nights have produced just the odd Gem, Small Mottled Willow or Bordered Straw. |

Night of 16th, 6 Diamond Back's, 2 Dark Sword Grass, 5 Silver Y and 1 Dewick's Plusia to garden MV. Other wandering 'bits' included 1 Yponomeuta plumbella, 1 Oak Hook Tip and 4 Tree Lichen Beauties.
Other migrants hard to come by recently - 70+ Diamond Back's on night of the 8th and 17 Silver Y's on night of 14th of note for here. Otherwise just 4 other Dark Sword Grass and 2 Rush Veneers all month. |

18 Silver Y (This doesn't sound much by comparison with coastal stations, but if you consider the central location in the country and no signs of major migrant corridors near me, this is an excellent count and in fact the highest count for the species in over 10 years of trapping here - so there must be a lot of Silver Ys across Britain now!) |
