Agriphila latistria last night was a new site record. Another last Friday night at Hampton Court Castle would indicate that some sort of abnormal movement is going on. There are no previous records of this species from central Herefordshire.

At least 3 Clouded Yellows 11th August Caerthillian Cove, The Lizard.

Palpita vitrealis in my garden trap last night (11.08.2013). Also Silver Y (2) and Diamond-back Moth (2).

2 male Clouded Yellow (C. croceus) in the red clover field today.

Male Clouded Yellow flying round Betchworth Quarry (the main quarry site, just off public footpath, TQ20735145) Monday 12 August.

Night of 11 August:

c300 Diamond-back Moth, 5 Rush Veneer, 6 Dark Sword-grass, 2 Tree-lichen Beauty, 1 Small Mottled Willow, 1 Bordered Straw and 1,298 Silver Y (major influx including 446 in a single trap!).

Monday 12 August

Long-tailed Blue - male

at same location as female yesterday, plus 1 other.
