On the Buddleia bush this afternoon a Silver-washed Fritillary as well as 8 Red Admirals and 3 Painted Lady. I cant help thinking the fritillary was an immigrant. It's the first I have seen this year, they are decidedly local in Cornwall, and it was a new record for this very coastal garden with no woodland nearby.

16 Silver Y, 12 Red Admiral, 2 Humming-bird Hawk-moth, 8 Painted Lady and a single Clouded Yellow.

Painted Lady, Clouded Yellow + Silver-Y in large brownfield area to east of wood.

4 Clouded Yellow, incl. 1 f. helice in red clover field today.
