On reflection I was convinced that the Tiger Moth that fluttered at my feet for a few seconds on 7th August was not a Jersey Tiger but a Garden Tiger. This identification was confirmed by a longer sighting of it flying in late afternoon sunshine on 9th.I hope to see it again at rest and obtain photographic proof.

Saw a Hornet Moth which was resting on a fruit cage at around mid day last Thursday. It headed off at speed in a south westerly direction. Location, Preston, Duns. Scotland.
