Hummingbird Hawkmoth this afternoon on Lavender.

Night of 26th July. dark swordgrass, 2 noctuella, 4 ferrugalis and a male and female 4 spotted footman. 3 other quadra in the last 10 days or so, and I suspect these are resident now, and also over quite a lot of the Isle of Wight

Several traps ran last night north of Weston VC6: 2 Dark Sword-grass, 1 Rush Veneer, 15+ Diamond-back and 50+ Silver Y including many nectaring before dark.
