Latin - a first for Jersey in Duncan's garden trap this morning. But only other migrants were Rusty-dot Pearl, Silver Y and 10 Diamond-backs. 2 Orache and a Jersey Mocha of local stock.

Night of 23 July, Diamond-back up to 200, Dark Sword-grass 1, Silver Y 6. European Corn-borer 10 (resident). Also some great wanderers with Single Pigmy Footman amongst C100 Scarce Footman. Single Evergestis limbata, believed most Northerly record.

19th July - Evergestis extimalis (worn) 1, Plutella xylostella 4.

22nd July - Evergestis extimalis (spanking)1, Plutella xylostella 29, Silver Y 1.

24th July - Yponomeuta rorella 1, Plutella xylostella 9, Silver Y 9.

Night of 24 July: 10 Bird-cherry Ermine, 30 Willow Ermine, 50 Diamond-back Moth, 5 European Corn-borer, 1 Oncocera semirubella, 1 Nephopterix angustella, 2 Dark Sword-grass and 15 Silver Y.

A Scarce Silver-lines was a good local record.

A big influx of about 90 Silver Ys nectaring on lavender and red valerian on 23 July in my garden in Edburton.

Night of 23 July: traps absolutely stuffed full of moths, c4,000 moths trapped of 230 species.

Estimated totals of 500 Diamond-back Moth, 700 Willow/Bird-cherry Ermine, 8 European Cornborer, 1 Dark Sword-grass and 35 Silver Y.
