Night of 17 July: 175+ species including 6 Bird-cherry Ermine, 8 Diamond-back Moth, 7 European Corn-borer, 1 Beautiful Marbled (second Bawdsey record) and 1 Silver Y.
Lots of local specialities including 5 Rosy Wave, Mullein Wave, Water Ermine, Shaded Fan-foot and Dotted Fan-foot. The previous night (16 July) 205+ species (record Bawdsey nightly count). Large Emerald - only second ever Bawdsey record - so as rare here as the Beautiful Marbled! |
