Night of 15 July: 185+ species trapped. Migrants included Bird Cherry Ermine 2, Diamond-back Moth 10, European Corn-borer 2, Dark Sword-grass 1 and Silver Y 2.
A very good selection of resident species including Evergestis limbata, White Satin, Star-wort, Water Ermine (2), Garden Tiger (6), Bordered Sallow, Striped Wainscot, Archer's Dart and Gothic. |

Just 2 Diamond-back Moths (P. xylostella) in the traps this morning. The best of the wanderers were 2 Silky Wainscot (C. maritimus) - the first I've recorded away from the coast.
It was difficult to see the moths under 10,000 or so caddis flies! If only moths were still found in such numbers. |
