Night of 7 July: 6 Diamond-back Moths, 1 European Corn-borer and 3 Silver Y.

2 Red-necked Footmans on consecutive nights here in Stevenage. Either immigrants or wanderers from breeding populations on the coast.
Species count on both nights has gone through the roof with between 86 and 100 which is incredible for my suburban garden. |

2 Humming-bird Hawk-moth (at the same time) at one patch of Red Valerian. 5 separate sightings in the same place over the space of 3 hours this afternoon. |

Night of 6 July:
A massive haul of moths this morning with 160+ species trapped (one of my highest all-time Bawdsey counts). Migrants included two Diamond-back Moths and a single male Gem. |
