Single Dark Sword-grass and 4 Diamond-back Moth

Monarch butterfly today.

Night of 18 June: Summer has finally arrived! 120 species recorded, lots of wanderers from nearby wetlands (Flame Wainscots and a Silky Wainscot) and heath (Apomyelois bistriatella). Migrants included 26 Diamond-back Moths, one male European Corn-borer and four Silver Ys.

Nearby, also in East Suffolk, single Gems were recorded in Ipswich and Grundisburgh.

Clouded Yellow today.

18 June daytime at Bradwell, Red Admiral (first for year!)7 Silver Y. Four lights at Blundeston, 17 Diamond-back in 90 species catch.
