Night of 30 September: 1 Gem, 1 Vestal, 2 Pearly Underwing

Painted Lady & 45 Red Admirals on 28th;Clouded Yellow & 147 Red Admirals on 29th Sept.

Trapping in the back garden of a holiday cottage on the nights of 22nd September-27th September inclusive, (125w MV Skinner) saw the following migrants: 3 Dark Sword-grass, 7 Vestal, 96 Silver-Y, 2 Rush Veneer and 2 Rusty-dot Pearl. Other potentials (although probably residents) included 4 L-album Wainscot and 3 White Point. Missed out on the Convolvulus Hawks though :( Many thanks to Martin Cade for his advice over the phone beforehand (Sorry I didn't get up to see you in the end too!)

Convolvulus Hawk this am.

A few visiting moth trapers to the reserve last night 28/9. with highlights of Sombre Brocade, Delicate, Pearly Underwing, Dark Sword-grass, Scarce Bordered Straw, Rush Veener, Rusty-dot Pearl, White Point and L-album Wainscot

Single Convolvulous Hawk-moth on the fence in garden this morning in good condition. Only 1m from where the MV sits but hasn't run since 9th. Have several clumps of white Nicotiana nearby though.

Night of the 28th September one Scarce Bordered Straw in garden trap, cold and clear no other migrants.
