Ade Jupp had a Jersey Tiger to light yesterday evening (22nd) at Seabrook in Kent (between Hythe and Folkestone)

Lesser Emperor seen east of Little Dingle Hill this morning.

Also of note were single Vestals on the night of 21 August in Burgate (M. Timms) and Hollesley (R. Watson).

35 Red Admiral probably with many more fyng past, and 4 Painted Lady this afternoon (22/08) around the estuary. Was also nice to get into double figures of both Small Tortoiseshell and The Peacock, a first for may years:-).

19th Aug. I saw my first Painted Lady of the year also one Comma,one Red Admiral 3 Peacock and in excess 25 Small Tortoiseshell all in my garden on Buddleia and other flowers

A cold mainly clear night and a generally poor catch but a male Convolvulus Hawk-moth on the fence next to the trap.
