Night of 16 August. Cydia amplana, Rusty-dot Pearl and Silver Y. The last two nights we have caught specimens of the hoverfly Helophilus trivittatus.

Night of 16 August:

Diamond-back Moth 12, Ethmia bipunctella 2, Rush Veneer 7, Cydia amplana 2 and Silver Y 17.

Also Cypress Pug 2 and Tree-lichen Beauty 8. 130 species recorded in the traps - pretty good for mid August - season running late here in Suffolk!

This afternoon nectaring on buddelia and Verbena 2 Painted Lady, 2 Red Admiral.Good numbers of Peacock and Small Tortoishell also noted.
