Hummingbird Hawk-moth seen on the reserve yesterday.

Metalampra italica came to 125w MV trap last night.

At 125W MV on 31.vii.2012, as single European Corn Borer Ostrinia nubilalis.

1 Assara terebrella to the garden actinic trap last night (30th July). Possibility of migrancy, although more likely from local Norway Spruce. Lovely moth wherever its from!

Night of July 30th - 1 Golden Twin Spot ... no other obvious signs of migration only a few wanderers.

Oncocera semirubella - 1
Willow Ermine - c200 (traps and surrounding grass covered).
Diamond-back Moth - 6
Rush Veneer - 1
Silver Y - 2

Also Evergestis limbata, Sciota adelphella (2) and European Corn-borer (2) - all probably now breeding locally.

A Clouded Magpie was a fine addition to the Bawdsey list.

One Diaphania perspectalis reported in Warwickshire on 26 July. Unknown origin.
