surveying in the black mountains on the herefordshire/gwent/brecon border with chris williams/robin hemming with 10 to 12 traps per night at 500 to 750 metres;
1/7/12 = zero migrants
2/7/12 = 183 Silver Y (134 in one trap!) , 1 Diamond-back, 1 Dark Swordgrass - over half of all moths caught on the night.
3/7/12 = 90+ Silver Y and still counting.
interestingly none of migrantrs were seen on the summit plateaux, all were seen at the break of slope between plateau at top of steep valley sides.
