A single Silver Y to my new 40w heath trap last night.

There has been a small influx of Red-veined Darters in recent days. In addition to Paul Winter's sighting below, there have also been reports from single sites in Pembrokeshire, Dorset, Kent and Staffordshire. I wonder if there are more to be found?

1 Painted Lady on the coast-path S. of Coverack and several Red Admirals today, none of which seen yesterday

This morning 4 Red-veined Darters at a private site in Hampshire.

Migrant species seen at actinic light in recent days include Diamond-back Moth, Dark Sword-grass and Silver Y.

1 Slightly faded Painted lady seen feeding at Ground ivy flowers.

Some signs of insect migration today. A Painted Lady seen near Redruth and three Diamond-back Moths in the moth-trap overnight on the Lizard.

Captured on the Heather moors on the Renfrewshire uplands today, 27th May 2012. I understand this to be a rare migrant.
