Red Admiral basking & flying on 27th Jan.

23/1/12 - Red Admiral in garden.

A single Humming-bird Hawk-moth this afternoon 12:20pm (22/01/12). Active in the Copperhouse area of the town. Gusty winds and cloud cover, temp about 11 degrees.

Another Diamond Back at back garden MV's last night - nothing else.

Recorded a March moth last night, earliest record for me.

Single Diamond Backed Moth on night of Jan 18th and 2 more last night. The only other migrant since the turn of the year was a Rusty Dot on the night of the 9th.

Speckled Wood in the garden today.

Night of 12th Jan. Bloxworth snout. Probably been resident here for a number of years, but is it known to come out of hibernation, and it was a very cold night!
