A single very worn Red Admiral active on the river bank between Relubus and St Erth at 12:50pm. A number of ladybirds were also spotted. Also very unexpected was a Common Lizard warming itself on a fence post (photo taken), not a moth or butterfly I know but im sure someone will find this of interest. |

Red Admiral Butterfly sunning itself on the conservatory window this morning (10th Jan) at 11:30am. Empty Moth trap though :(

A Camberwell Beauty was found by Simon Marsden on 7th Jan in his garden at Lee-on-the Solent,Hampshire and put into his garage to overwinter(www.hantsiow-butterflies.org.uk).It had probably escaped from,or been been released by, the breeder who had been breeding very near there last summer.
