Afteroon of 15/10/2011.
A three hour walk around the estury produced 34 Red Admirals a single Clouded Yellow (f. helice) as well as 8 Large Whites, 4 Small Coppers, 2 The Comma, 4 The Peacock, and a single Speckled Wood. |

Quite a few red admirals about still , some nectering on ivy , some basking on sunny walls

One Hummingbird hawkmoth nectering at honeysuckle on Eatons Road , stapleford nottinghamshire .
The first I have seen in the area this year . |

Night of 5th October. Blair's wainscot recorded at the Marsh Blair discovered it, and where it was thought to have become extinct in 1952. Who knows whether it may have hung on or arrived again.
