32 Red Admiral's and a single Painted Lady all feeding at Ivy Blossom. Comma's, Large Whites, and Small Coppers also still active in good numbers in the area.

Very few Clouded Yellows earlier in the year but 9 today; also 1 Long-tailed Blue. Red Admirals in huge numbers all over the island, with 8 counted on one upstairs balcony yesterday. Vestals still about: 1 to mvl last night & 4 on cliffs today (our total for this autumn is now 48, I think.) Also a few Humming-bird Hawks on late-flowering valerian & buddleia.
