32 Red Admiral's and a single Painted Lady all feeding at Ivy Blossom. Comma's, Large Whites, and Small Coppers also still active in good numbers in the area. |

Very few Clouded Yellows earlier in the year but 9 today; also 1 Long-tailed Blue. Red Admirals in huge numbers all over the island, with 8 counted on one upstairs balcony yesterday. Vestals still about: 1 to mvl last night & 4 on cliffs today (our total for this autumn is now 48, I think.) Also a few Humming-bird Hawks on late-flowering valerian & buddleia.
