Finally some sign's of migration for a week or so at the Reserve. 1 Gem, 1 Dark Sword-grass, 1 Pearly Underwing, 1 Rush Veneer and 5 Rusty Dot Pearl. Also Cypress Carpet which may be a migrant to the site. |

3 Rusty-dot Pearl in the garden MV overnight. Also marked-and-released the previously recorded Convolvulus Hawk-moth, a large black dot on the left wing - in the vain hope of a possible recapture.

Did anyone else suspect that a lot of Merveille du Jour may have come across with all the other migrants? I had 6 on 4th Oct, 3 or 4 most nights and my normal count is about 6 for the whole season
