A strange morning (15 September) here in NW Suffolk. Awoke to find a change in routine the evening before had made me forget to put on the garden mothtrap, so took a walk through the village later on by way of compensation. Within a few minutes had spotted a Humming-bird Hawkmoth, then just a few minutes later turned up a superb Dewick's Plusia resting on a fence. Who knows what might have been in the trap if I'd actually switched it on!
