Hi - Had 3 Rannoch loopers in my Rayleigh garden last night to Robinson trap with 125W MV. First time I've seen this moth. The first one was dead next to the trap - probably mauled by one or other of our cats! Thankfully there were two more in pristine condition inside the trap. Amazing considering I live the wrong side of Southend-on-Sea (ie to the west of the town)and rarely get much in the way of interesting migrants or wanderers from south of the Thames. Are these from the Continent or offspring of those moths that landed in Kent and Sussex last year?
