Migrant moths last night with 14 traps on 1/10 were still thin on the ground with a cold NW wind, but as it was dry and the ivy is coming out in full blossom then ivy checking was good.
I think the 70 White-specks found on ivy prove that the species must be at least a transitory resident here as well as migrant. It was by far the commonest moth on ivy (is anyone else checking ivy much - it was more productive than traps last night?)
