How is information fed back to members? Provide an annual itinary of indoor/outdoor events . A summary of these and a brief yearly report is published in The Comma magazine.
Is there an active field events programme and are non-members welcome to attend these events? Yes we have a programme every year and non-members are very welcome.
A brief summary of the work of the group. We have a winter indoor meeting with slide shows etc. We aim to record in the forest every month from March to October, selecting sites of proven interest and liaising with The Forestry Commission and Natural England to trap in areas where habitats are actively managed. All records are added to the moth database. We aim to continue to monitor moth status and to feedback any noticeable trends or records for future woodland management and conservation.
