Details: Bumper haul of migrants last night near Dover! 2 vitrealis, 1 noctuella, 20 ferrugalis, 1 Vestal, 2 Radford's Flame Shoulder, 1 Porter's Rustic, 2 Silver Y, 33 Delicate (which I assumed were migrants, very pale and arrived in two waves 4 at 9.30 and the rest at 12.30), 1 Chalk Carpet and 1 Dingy Footman, both of which are resident but either a second brood or migrants. I've had Chalk Carpet here in October before! At home four miles inland 2 Delicates and a very fresh Portland Ribbon Wave! Clear moonlit sky all night but still warm!
