Details: AMENDED TO ADD DATE & SPECIES. Daytime observation. This Convolvulus Hawk-moth was spotted on 17 August at the bottom of a dock plant right beside the footpath through a wetland area known as the "paddock". NY052656, VC72.

Details: Humming-bird Hawk-moth daily, often multiple sightings per day, 15-20 August. Painted Lady, 1-3 daily from 20 July to present with just one today. All garden records.

Details: Night of 19 Aug: single Bordered Straw and Pearly Underwing, 4 Silver Ys, 3 Rush Veneers and 2 Diamond backs to light. Hummingbird Hawks evident in area over last few days.

Details: 17 Rush Veneer, 6 Udea ferrugalis, 3 Silver Y, 2 Bordered Straw, 2 Pearly Underwing, single Dark Sword-grass, Small Mottled Willow, Scarce Bordered Straw, Vestal, Nephopterix angustella and Convolvulus Hawk Moth - the latter very very worn. The night was not very favourable for my garden so I suspect many of these moths arrived on previous nights but a good variety.
