Moth Groups
NEW website at www.yorkshiremoths.info. This Website is a central repository for all information on moths in Yorkshire.
Whilst there is no local moth group in Yorkshire, this new site contains a wealth of information and links to other sites concerned with moths in Yorkshire. In addition, there is a Yahoo e-group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Yorkshiremoths/ which currently has 112 members. 1500 messages were posted last year. Membership is free and it is a great way to find out what is happening in the county.
A variety of trapping events take place every year. These may be linked to Yorkshire Naturalists Union excursions or done for various bodies or nature reserves. They tend to be advertised on the e-group, on the YNU site or on the website for BC Yorkshire, http://www.yorkshirebutterflies.org.uk/index.html
